That is correct. 2-3 hrs hours was the difference between a bad bracket and a pretty good one.clenz wrote:I spent a total of rougly 12-15 minutes filling out 5 brackets. Two to three hours? I hope you'll win a good amount of money for that ****.
I'm not kidding it was maybe 15 minutes to do all 5 of them (not counting page load time between them).
Do you not follow CBB that you needed 3 hours to research teams?

I don't follow CBB and filled out my bracket as fast as possible. I haven't checked the link but I can only assume I am still in the perfect bracket group.BDKJMU wrote:That is correct. 2-3 hrs hours was the difference between a bad bracket and a pretty good one.clenz wrote:I spent a total of rougly 12-15 minutes filling out 5 brackets. In my case 15 minutes. Most of it was luck. I never once considered a team that is having to play in to the tourney (yeah, i'm looking at you Tennessee) would do so well.BDKJMU wrote:That is correct. 2-3 hrs hours was the difference between a bad bracket and a pretty good one.clenz wrote:I spent a total of rougly 12-15 minutes filling out 5 brackets. Tennessee has been HOT for the last month or two. They just had a TURRBLE start to the season.Ibanez wrote:In my case 15 minutes. Most of it was luck. I never once considered a team that is having to play in to the tourney (yeah, i'm looking at you Tennessee) would do so well.BDKJMU wrote:

I hate doing brackets that just go with the "play in game winner vs this team" - that doesn't work. I would have picked TN over UMASS. I wouldn't have picked Iowa over UMASS. Instead I was left with going with an unknown of the "Safe" bet.

Couldn't you have waited until after the play in game was over? I am sure there are some but I don't know any pools that required you to submit before roughly noon last Thursday.clenz wrote:Tennessee has been HOT for the last month or two. Re: 2014 March Madness!!!!
that logic doesn't make sense either. You still would have had to choose between UMass and Iowa/TN regardless of how it was listed on the bracket. I'm guessing some bracket pools don't include the first round as part of the "competition", as they are often tossups and many of them involve teams that the casual BB fan isn't familiar with, so those pools leave that round out just so more people can feel better about themselves (hugs and juiceboxes for everyone).clenz wrote:Tennessee has been HOT for the last month or two. But leaving out the first round is as arbitrary as not starting your pool until the round of 16 or something.

The brackets all listed "winner of 11 game". I did all my brackets before the Tuesday games.JayJ79 wrote:that logic doesn't make sense either. Like I said, I have a different outcome if TN or Iowa won that game.

Were the brackets due back before the play in games were over? If not, then you could have waited and completed your brackets then.clenz wrote:The brackets all listed "winner of 11 game". It would be amazing to see Dayton in the final four. Just need to get past Florida.
