#'s 2thru 4 will be some combination of ODU, EWU and Montana St, nothing would surprise me as far as order. I do think EWU will be ahead of Montana St, the head-to-head win will out weigh the FBS loss.
I think Central Arkansas at 9-2 is a more likely choice at #5 than any of the many 8-3 teams out there. The Southland may not have the reputation of the other power conferences, but they did have a finalist last year and Central Arkansas has won 6 straight and has an FBS loss. I think their resume is better than any of the 8-3 teams.
I agree with most of what you're saying, but on the CAU note - why would they get the number 5 seed over a 9-2 Cal Poly? Just a thought.

I'm guessing that the committee will not want to seed thtree teams from one conference. Also Central Arkansas is a conference champ.
But you raise a good question. CP might be a seed.
