Why take out teams that consistently go to the championship game? Why stick the game in Texas where one or two teams out of the entire playoff field is in driving distance?
Average attendance in Chattanooga: ~17,000
Attendance in Frisco; 13,028
Everyone bitched about attendance last year. This year is worse and everyone thinks it's great.![]()
All moving the game to Frisco accomplished was lowering the bar.
All moving the game to Frisco accomplished, as far as skelly is concerned, was making attendance personally inconvenient.

You keep saying this as if it's fact. It isn't.Skjellyfetti wrote:

I'm sure you could find sour puss' types that were bitching about it. What you are trying to paint here with you specious reasoning paintbrush is that those that are saying it the attendance is respectable ARE the ones that were saying that it sucked last year.
I always loved Chattanooga and defended it as a good spot for the game and thoght the crowds were decent but not great. I can't see using the crowd as any sort of anchor for the game being in Chatty as we are talking about insignificant numbers in either location.
You make a great argument two or three times out of ten and this is unfortunately one of the seven or eight.
I was just spitballin' with the numbers there to make the point so don't take it as hard evidence or for that matter...personally.

From Page 2 of this thread:

At least I provided a calculation for my estimate.CAA Flagship wrote: The attendance will be 27,258 locals + 3500 UD fans + 1700 EWU fans + 580 FCS fans - 19782 ODU fans = 13,256.

Well, Chatty wasn't really that bad...Grizalltheway wrote:Holy hell, native and I are in 100% agreement on something...I may just have to change my mind.native wrote:

No need to justify your actions. From everything I've read here you are a fanatic supporter of Texas State and FCS football. I mean that as the most sincere complementary usage of the term fan. You also display great knowledge of the game and your opinions are always a good read.CatMom wrote:And for your further entertainment
Yes, if we had made the NC in 2005 I would have been there. We had the money/finances back then
We used a lot of money to go home (NJ) in May, when my mom passed away. That set us back even further and we're still recovering. No credit cards now....all has to be cash.

How about the geniuses who schedule the championship game consider playing the game earlier next year. Oh, and they may want to consider selecting a location that isn't located within a stones throw from a major BCS game, that coincidentally was also nationally televised. With as little national television coverage as the FBS enjoys, why would they compete against the Orange Bowl right down the street on the same damn night?
