Why should it give Denmark any more right to the land than the US? The Danish Norwegians basically showed up in the 17th Century and said “Bitches, this is ours. Might makes right.” Well then, the US can say, bitch, we’re a lot bigger than you. Might makes right”.

Also the US has been providing for the defense defense of Greenland since WWII, not the Danes.

Also most of Greenland’s population is Inuit. OTOH most of the US’s population isn’t American Indian.
