Big Sky Predictions 11-15

Post by JALMOND »

Two weeks left and only two weeks for a shot at perfection. I was one off last week, missing on the UC Davis/Idaho game, which puts me at 65-18 for the year. This week is the last week until the traditional rivalry weekend when you can throw out the results and pick blind in most games. Here are my predictions for this weekend's slate of games.

CP at NAU---The Mustangs would like to salvage what was once considered to be a magical season. They go out on the road to face a Lumberjacks' team that still has their sights on a playoff bid, but they cannot afford any hiccups along the way. The Lumberjacks should get this one going away...NAU 38, CP 28.

WSU at ISU---The Wildcats have had a pretty disappointing season at this point but would love to put a dent in their geographical rivals. The Bengals have been quietly putting together a remarkable run through the conference portion of their season. It may not translate into a playoff run, though...ISU 35, WSU 10.

UI at SAC---By their own standards, the Vandals have not had the type of season they wanted, and they have been reduced to playing spoiler these last couple of weeks. The Hornets have come together and are now hoping for the playoffs, but they need a win here. They should get the win...SAC 31, UI 20.

UM at PSU---The Grizzlies continue to get wins every possible way this season. Last week was a little scary but they got the win. The Vikings are almost the exact opposite as wins have been tough to get all year, but they are playing tough. This week has them back in Portland. Will it make a difference?...UM 48, PSU 12.

UNC at EWU---The Bears have been close in almost every game, but do not have the wins to show for it. The Eagles have been playing everyone tough and have been getting some wins to show for their efforts. The Eagles last home game, and they would like to come through and get the win...EWU 35, UNC 27.

UCD at MSU---Both of these teams feel confident about getting the win here heading into their fierce rivalry game next week. The Aggies may be banged up but they've been finding ways to win. The Bobcats have been able to steamroll almost every opponent so far. Who gets this game?...MSU 35, UCD 25.

NoCo 20-34 EWUI probably would've picked the Bears here a month ago, but not now

Montana 43-21 Portland St. — The Griz should be fine as long as they don't ever lead 22-0 ;)

Idaho 21-38 Sac StateWill the Vandals show up now that they're out of the playoff hunt?

Weber 20-34 Idaho St.The switch to interim coach Brent Myers could provide a spark, but Weber just isn't good at anything aside from place kicking

Calol Poly 17-35 NAUThe 'Jacks host a squad in a slump for the second-straight week

Davis 17-34 Montana St.Davis has played well despite injuries, but the 'Cats have won 8 straight by an average score of 44-9 :o

NCU vs EWU: EWU, EWU has improved since their beat down in Bozeman and they are at home.
Cal Poly vs NAU: NAU, NAU is looking for a spot in the playoffs
UM vs PSU: UM, can the Griz play a complete game? Won't need to, should still win going away.
WSU vs ISU: ISU, is just better and they are at home.
Idaho vs SAC: SAC, though would like to see Idaho steal one here, SAC is playing better, looking for a play off bid and they are at home.
UCD vs MSU: MSU, UCD is pretty beat up but playing well. Might be close for the first half, but I think the depth of MSU will wear them down.

After getting shellacked two weeks ago going 2-4, bounced back last week going 5-1 missing the UCD/Idaho game. Over all 66-15.
