November got off to an interesting start as all the games last weekend was won by the road team. Even Portland State, playing at Cal Poly got their first win of the season. Now, another full slate of games are on the docket as we get closer to the end. Teams are jockeying for position with only three games left. Here are this week's power rankings (last week in parenthesis). All are my opinion only. Here we go!
1. Montana State (1)---Last week won at Northern Colorado 55-7, this week Weber State at home---The Bobcats went on the road and totally crushed the dreams of the Bears, much like what they've been doing all year. They return home this weekend and face the Wildcats who have been languishing near the bottom.
2. Montana (2)---Last week won at Weber State 38-17, this week Eastern Washington at home---Unlike most of their previous games, the Grizzlies jumped on the Wildcats early and coasted for this good road win. They come back home to face their nemesis in the Eagles and their quest to go undefeated.
3. Sacramento State (5)---Last week won at Eastern Washington 35-13, this week at Portland State---The Hornets took care of the Eagles on the road last week with a sound road victory and gaining traction on the leaders. They can't slow down yet, even with a trip to the lower division of the conference this week.
4. UC Davis (3)---Last week lost to Idaho State at home 38-36, this week at Idaho---The Aggies quest at staying undefeated came to an abrupt halt last week at home to the Bengals when they couldn't quite get over the hump. They hit the road for what is now an interesting matchup against the Vandals. They need this one.
5. Idaho (8)---Last week won at Northern Arizona 35-32, this week UC Davis at home---The Vandals got back into the thick of things with a strong road win over the Lumberjacks in overtime. Hoping to make some noise and still make the playoffs, they have a strong test this weekend as the Aggies come calling.
6. Northern Arizona (4)---Last week lost to Idaho at home 35-32, this week Northern Colorado at home---The Lumberjacks hopes at the playoffs took a serious hit last week in a loss at home to the Vandals. They need to get back on the winning track as they bring in the conference's darling, the Bears, to their home den.
7. Idaho State (9)---Last week won at UC Davis 38-36, this week Cal Poly at home---The Bengals got a hard earned road win against one of the conference's heavyweights, the Aggies last week. As they continue to play spoiler, they bring in the Mustangs for a good chance at another win. Playing for pride.
8. Northern Colorado (6)---Last week lost to Montana State at home 55-7, this week at Northern Arizona---The Bears have been scaring a few teams, but going up against the Bobcats last week, they ran away and hid. Not many wins to show for their effort, but they can play spoiler this weekend at the Lumberjacks.
9. Eastern Washington (7)---Last week lost to Sacramento State at home 35-13, this week at Montana---The Eagles showed why their conference record may have been a bit inflated due to who they played as they could not get by a much better team. They hit the road and play an even better team this weekend.
10. Cal Poly (10)---Last week lost to Portland State at home 40-35, this weekend at Idaho State---The Mustangs magical season took a big hit last weekend with a home loss to the Vikings, who have been in the basement of the conference. They need to get back to winning, but they head out on the road to face the Bengals.
11. Weber State (11)---Last week lost to Montana at home 38-17, this week at Montana State---The Wildcats tried everything at home last week against the Grizzlies and still could not get the win. Still near the bottom of the conference, they will try again this weekend, this time at the Bobcats' den, a very tough place.
12. Portland State (12)---Last week won at Cal Poly 40-35, this week Sacramento State at home---The Vikings finally got a taste of victory for the first time this season with a good road win against the Mustangs. They still have some tough games coming up, starting with a home game this weekend against the Hornets.
RECAP: 1-2 out front, 3-6 a step behind, 7-9 further back, 10-12 in the rear.

Are you somewhat following the rankings on this, JAL? I don't see how anyone can put MT State over Montana right now. Both ahead of Sac, definitely.
I'm not sure about those behind the Manure Pile on your chart. N. Arizona has historically played to the level of the competition, and it's cost them. You're probably right about E. Washington. I hate seeing BBQ back that far, but that's probably correct. Idalol/ID State are something of a head-scratcher this year.
That said, I applaud you for trying to do this. This year has been a source of cray-crayness conference-wide....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Re: Big Sky Power Rankings 11-4
EWU reverted to our old defensive ways last week giving up 300+ on the ground. We are now down to QB 3, a redshirt freshman making his first start in the Mecca.
We may not win another game.
