That's possible because at least in the pandemic freight was still actually moving.

Let's see the Iranians are moving to close the Strait of Hormuz as a result of the Israeli and United States attacks. If successful, this will severely cut off the world supply of oil and cause a ripple effect of higher prices on everything consumers buy.
Before someone says something like "the US Navy" or the US only gets 5% if it's oil from the US, I know that. I also said "if successful".
The thing is oil is a global market. Even if the oil is drilled and refined domestically, it will be sold to consumers at the international rate. Ie, we are doing to pay more everything we buy because it has to be moved to stores and we want to fill our gas tanks.

Just like attacking Iran‘s nuke infrastructure was going to cause WW III.bobbythekidd wrote: ↑Wed Jun 25, 2025 6:13 pm Let's see the Iranians are moving to close the Strait of Hormuz as a result of the Israeli and United States attacks. Crude oil futures have fallen over 11% in the last 5 days since the strike because Iran isn‘t attacking the straight of Hormuz. Iran isn’t going to shutdown the straight of Hormuz for one because their Chinese friends gets lots of discounted oil from Iran through the….Strait of Hormuz. So we‘re not going to be paying more for shit, Bobby. But keep grasping..

I already pointed out that oil is a global commodity. That means China will pay more.

Umm, you are actually correct. Both of the ones I needed were priced at $97 each. You see, Walmart doesn't mark things at a whole dollar point.

You CHOSE to buy an orange. You didn‘t HAVE to buy an orange unless someone was somehow forcing you to.bobbythekidd wrote: ↑Sun Sep 21, 2025 2:58 pm Today, I had to pay a dollar for one orange. A dollar for a single orange.
If you had just said ‘I spent $1 for an orange’ I wouldn’t have said anything.
