What is the Week 3 FBS Game of the Week?

Post by BDKJMU »

Week 1 (heading in) was then #5 Notre Dame @ #3 Ohio St. (OSU won 21-10).
Also Week 1 had then:
-#3 UGA destroying #11 Oregon 49-3.
-#19 Arkansas 31, #23 Cincinnatti 24.

Last week heading in was probably Bama @ UT.

I went with PSU @ Aburn over Miami @ TX A&M..

Tempted to go with the B1G/Pac-12 matchup with the Spartans and the Huskies, but in the end B1G versus SEC is just more interesting. so PSU and Auburn for me as well.

I agree Week 1 has been the best so far, but Week 3 has 2 games between ranked teams, just like Week 2.

I saw Oregon get absolutely manhandled by Georgia in week 1. I know what they're made of, they're not a top 4 team in the country.

BYU got taken to OT at home by Baylor. Not the clear cut example that Oregon was, but I'm thinking they're not top 4 either. But I agree it needs to be proven out for sure, and BYU plays a pretty decent schedule so we'll know before long.

JMU's OOC schedule is filled through 2024 and looks like Liberty's schedule is set for next season, but at 98 miles, 1 1/2 hrs+ apart, its ridiculous that JMU & Liberty aren't scheduled in a home and home until 2033/2034. They should be able to work out at least another pair of games between 2025 and 2032..

I'm not doing so hot with my scalp picks. My first "done deal" wasn't even close. I tried to get a pick in on ALL FCS-FBS games, but somehow I missed SIU-NW, and THEY're the ones that got it done. SMH. Here's hoping for MT State and ND State to remedy my failed "scalp picker."...

I was banking on how the FBS teams in question "normally" function. Apparently, "normal" and 2022 are two different things entirely. OR State has been scalped by AT LEAST two Big Sky teams, and they've also lost to some G5 teams (going at least as far back as UOP of the Big West in '95, and perhaps before that). I couldn't imagine that they'd turn the tables on a team that went to the National Championship Game last year. Army has historically been sub-par FBS-speaking, and Delaware has been playing better of late, so I figured that was a pretty good combination. ND State had Arizona beat until the zebras stole it from them. Tulsa's not that good a team to begin with, and Jax State has done well in recent years, so I figured they had a pretty good shot.

I will say that the one to which I appended Mr. McMahon's entrance music went according to plan. That could well be the ONLY game of the bunch that did....
