Make it 7, add in Villanova (And I’d be saying the same if JMU’s kicker hadn’t choked).BDKJMU wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 12:00 pmI‘ll go 5, maybe 6 (in no particular order):93henfan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 11:49 am
Oh, please. The remnants of the decent (not great) squad that Delaware had in the spring still sleep-walked over them with three UD QB's appearing in the game. Albany is not a good team either.
The AGS poll is the best one I've seen, and there are four, maybe five (don't go beating off, Kalm) teams with a chance to win the chipper in that poll.[/b]
If SDSU stays healthy, they should cakewalk.
-SDSU
-NDSU
-SHSU
-JMU
-Montana
-EWU
-An excellent, dual threat QB.
-An AA caliber RB (was leading the nation in rushing early 2019 before seaaon ending injury).
-Playmaker WR (couple TD receptions vs Penn St (albeit 4th qtr garbage time, 1 vs JMU).
-Big OL (avg about 6’4 1/2”/317.
-Studs at all 3 levels of defense
Start 15 super seniors. Being an expensive private, their issue is usually depth, esp as the season goes on with injuries, without the quality walkon program, but with the extra super senior schollies this year, that might not be as much of an issue. Certainly their best team since they won the title in 09’.
Yeah, SIU just beat SDSU @ SDSU, but I’m not sure about their defense and if they should be an 8th team on the list
Looks like every single of the above 7 teams has had at least 1 game where they haven’t looked good. Just no dominant 1-2 teams this season..
I also assume most of the above 7 are a QB injury away from not being a contender (I know thats the case with JMU)..
