Yes Trump is also the leader of a cult but like you said they're on a lifeboat and kicking off and attempting to marginalize anyone who isn't 100% in (who from your list of Baldy's RINOs is Leah Remini? :D ).

Ctrl-left socialists/marxists (Bernie Bois, followers of the Squad, founders of the blm organization, etc.) are just as much of a cult(s) and they're more numerous than you want to admit. They don't want well-regulated capitalism, they want to end capitalism.
“Leah Remini” was a pure gold analogy.

Exactly how numerous are they? By what metrics? And why are they so under-represented?

(Honest questions).
I don't know how numerous they are but I expect they are at least as numerous as Trump's hard core followers. Based on my anecdotal experience in Portland, through Facebook, etc. I see lots of people who think that capitalism and private enterprise are bad; that the government is good, can solve people's problems and has unlimited potential to tax the rich and print money. There are plenty of examples of this - the Democratic Socialists of America, mission statements by the founders of BLM, AOChe's foolishness regarding Amazon and basic economics.

They are under-represented because they are mostly young or part of academia and are just learning to flex their political muscle.

A cookie for partially finished work. :kisswink:

You conveniently left out any mention of the cult of people who either don't know that socialism has never worked on a large scale or inexplicitly believe that the next time will be different without being able to explain how.

They're a cult. Their beliefs are religious but in the crazy, road to hell, Jim Jones kind of way. The major difference is they want to take everyone else with them.
False equivalency. Trump is a large scale cult of personality. True socialists are few in number. Those desiring well regulated capitalism and less competition stifling oligarchy with a few socialist crumbs sprinkled in to that mixed economy are a loosely followed cult of ideas.

America...we founded our nation on ideas rather than the seeds of feudal nobility.

The Republican Party has become the Party of ignorance and conspiracy theory. That's the bottom line.

You’re goddamned right somebody did, because if the shoe were on the other foot and Trump had won in a manner similar to what Biden allegedly has won by, this country would be burning from coast to coast, and probably in martial law.

You forgot to mention that Trump did more to get us out of wars than any other President in a long time.

I'm more worried about continuous wars with Biden, Kerry, etc. than I was with Trump.

They had plenty of proof. It's in the Mueller report. Barr spun it as a "nothing." But it's not. The Russians did involve themselves in the 2016 election. They did it in support of Trump. Trump's campaign manager did share campaign polling data on key midwestern states with a Russian intelligence operative. That's all in the report.

Barr will at some point clarify that issue, after he finds his way out of the burning wreckage of the Trump Train..

I have no reason to believe China has involved itself in the same way. Let me know if they have an investigation that suggests that was the case. Let me know if they end up with a report saying Biden's campaign manager provided internal campaign polling data on key swing states with a Chinese intelligence operative.

They want the Nordic model. Conservatives like to say that the Nordic model isn't socialism. They can't say it's socialist because then they'd have to say that there are examples of socialism working pretty well. And maybe it's not socialism. But that's what Sanders & Co. are arguing for. That's the kind of government they want.

BTW, if somebody tries to establish the Nordic model in the United States conservatives are going to call it socialism.

Figured as much. I’m sure the $420 million Zuckerberg and his Chinese wife donated to Lib causes had no impact. I’m sure the hundreds of Chinese female spies sleeping with our politicians on powerful subcommittees had zero impact. I’m sure there was ZERO effect on the dominion voting machines....they were probably completely made in America, right?

Does the “Nordic” model include defunding the police? Does the “Nordic” model include supporting rioters, rapists, murderers, looting, and burning and destroying businesses and personal property when you don’t get your way? Does the “Nordic” model include supporting mandatory re-education camps for those who disagree politically? Does the “Nordic” model include blacklisting political opponents so they are unable to find work? Does the “Nordic” model include assaulting people as they eat, shop and pray, bullying them into supporting the “model” or threaten them with violence? Does the “Nordic” model include paying people to not work? Does the “Nordic” model include a plan to bankrupt the country with a “Green Energy” plan that has zero chance of succeeding? Does the “Nordic” plan call for making airplanes illegal? Fossil fuels illegal? Etc., etc.... I could go on and on....
