I’d be happy with even 6 once in awhile.... :ohno:

We usually have to wait for the playoffs to get to that many.... :ohno:

We can't rely on those to help the numbers any more.

Are these guys east of the Mississippi?

Congratulations North Dakota State & NDSU fans on winning the title. I think Eastern could have beaten ANY OTHER FCS team that day but not the Bizon Bitch Boys, congrats once again. Maybe next year Eags! :coffee:

East Coast teams play them and you mock them as not worthy opponents. Really not that hard of a connecting of dots.

You should try reading the entire conversation for a little context before thinking you have a 'gotcha' moment. ... :kisswink:

It's true, I have long held up CAA schedules to scrutiny when it comes to comparing resumes and playoff wins between conferences.

This is due to a historical tendency to schedule 1 FBS (like almost everyone else) and 2 OOC games from the Ivy, MEAC, Patriot, and NEC. In years where a team from one of those conferences is clearly strong, I consider it a good win or at least not a bad loss. EG, UNH's loss to Colgate this year, without Trevor Knight, would not have been a bad loss if the Wildcats were vying for an at-large.

If EWU was in a similar situation, I'd want us to do the same.

I gave UD props for the NDSU home and home. I'd love to see this happen more often throughout the CAA and the SoCon as well.

And the whole "Big Sky teams don't travel far enough" thing is completely laughable when we're still traveling halfway across the country to play teams like NDSU, UNI, SDSU. Heck, even Florida! Poor Ganny.

You guys never complain about that - you say there's no traffic and you can do 90mph on the roads out there. So what is it, are you as hardy as you claim to be or is that all just for show?

I think the Griz flew to Fargo, Macomb, wherever UNI is, Boone, and Knoxville, all within the last 8 years. Plus a quick trip to Seattle, then Eugene next year. :thumb:

Pretty close, especially if you remove the early rounds with weaker conference opponents and less travel.

Any other qualifiers to get you where you wanted to go? I'm just having a hard time believing this considering how many CAA teams (6) have won or made the finals compared to BSC teams (2) this century.

Not my fault Big Sky teams can't beat Pioneer teams in the first round. Nichols had no problem with San Diego in the opening round. :geek:

It was a 12 point game in the 4th quarter. Montana beat Whales Vigina in 2014.

BSC teams have faced them 3 times in the playoffs. CAA has squared off against the NEC et al way more times over the past couple of decades. CAA OOC schedules including playoffs are not even close to the BSC and he knows this.
