This one sounds like a good selection. He sort of reminds me of Moglia at CCU where after a successful career in management, he can step back and start in a new career working on something he has a history with and is passionate about.

And yes, Ivy, Trump's cabinet is indeed a crony capitalist's wet dream. You guys must be stoked!

I'm afraid you're not gonna get rid of old klam so fast tho. You'll have me to kick around for at least another 4 years.... :tothehand:

Why not just sack up and abolish these departments?
Sometimes it's good to work for a huge (by budget) independent agency which most people have never heard of. Maybe Trump won't find out that we exist.

Billionaire financial magnate and Florida Panthers owner Vincent Viola was named Secretary of the Army by President-elect Donald Trump on Monday.

"We are honored and humbled to see Mr. Viola nominated as the Secretary of the Army. We could not be more proud for Vinnie and his dedication to our country," Panthers president and CEO Matthew Caldwell said in a statement.

The Panthers will remain owned by the Viola family, but Vincent Viola will not have an active day-to-day role with the franchise. Douglas A. Cifu will take over Viola's role as chairman and governor of Sunrise Sports and Entertainment.

"Our hockey team has always been proud to be part of Mr. Viola's legacy. We admire his dedication to his country and are excited to watch him pursue this new endeavor," president of hockey operations Dale Tallon said.

Viola graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1977. He served in the 101st Airborne Division while in active duty before rising to the rank of major in the Army Reserves, all the while setting the stage for a future in big business. He rose from a trader to chairman of the New York Mercantile Exchange, eventually amassing a net worth of $1.78 billion.

Murkowski (R-AK) and Susan Collins (R-ME) aren't confirming DeVos.

50/50 split. Just need to pick up one more Conk "nay" to deny this loon.

That's why I don't get why they didn't try the boycott maneuver on this candidate - she's a serious whacko when compared to anyone else in the prospective cabinet. If you had to pick one person to block it would be DeVos.

Exactly, DeVos has no business being in charge of education in this country. She was a terrible pick.

(Posted in the 100 day thread) Steven Mnuchin to head the Treasury & Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) Sec HHS passed out of committee today after conk senators made a rule change to deal with a 2 day donk boycott. Got rid of rule that requires at least one member of each party to be in attendance for committee work to proceed. Course donks fuming.

If Sessions is confirmed, the DeVos vote would be 50 against and 49 for, right? He can't vote after he's confirmed.

But, I guess they'll either push through DeVos so they can use Pence as tiebreaker or delay DeVos until a replacement is appointed.

I was going to post that this person has absolutely no qualification to actually be Secretary of State and decided not to. But your post emboldened me.

This guy has absolutely no experience that would qualify him to be Secretary of State.

Of course he was appointed by someone who has absolutely no experience that would qualify him to be President.

And, yes, I questioned Obama's experience when he was elected. But this is worse.

Someone who was the CEO of one of the largest companies in the world with a footprint in nearly every country has no qualifications for SecState?

I guess he should have served a term in the Senate first?

You'd have more credibility questioning conflicts of interest, but to say he isn't qualified on the basis of experience kinda makes you sound like a moron

Hello.

Less than 10% of Blacks voted for Trump (mostly due to their own racist views), so Blacks didn't earn any more spots.

And yeah, you also forgot the Indian, you racist fvck.
These signatures have a 500 character limit?

What if I have more personalities than that?

Who do you suggest? I'm sure there are some truly qualified people of color out there, but there might be others who are slightly more qualified who happen to be melanin deficient. Not every choice that's made has to have some racist/fascist/nazi/sexist/misogynist/homophobic backstory.
