RICHMOND, Va. – James Madison's Vad Lee and Andrew Ankrah, UAlbany's Jon Martin and Delaware's Thomas Jefferson have been selected as the week four award winners in CAA Football, the league announced Monday.
Offensive Player of the Week
Vad Lee | QB | James Madison
- Set James Madison program records with 565 yards of total offense and 276 rushing yards in the Dukes' upset win at FBS-foe SMU.
- Finished 20-of-33 passing for 289 yards and three scores, including the game-winner with just 27 seconds remaining.
- Averaged 13.8 yards on 20 rushes, capped by touchdown runs of 40 yards and five yards, respectively.
Defensive Player of the Week
Andrew Ankrah | LB | James Madison
- Piled up five tackles-for-loss and four sacks for James Madison against SMU, both of which set season highs for any CAA Football player in 2015.
- Added two forced fumbles on defense for the Dukes.
- Finished with a total of seven tackles.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Jon Martin | P | UAlbany
- Averaged 43.8 yards on five punts as UAlbany held off Duquesne in a defensive struggle, 17-14.
- Pinned a pair of kicks inside the Duquesne 20, including one that was downed on the three yard line.
- His performance included a 61-yard punt and another that traveled over 50 yards.
Rookie of the Week
Thomas Jefferson | RB | Delaware
- In his first-career start, led all rushers with 163 yards and two touchdowns in Delaware's battle with UNC.
- Took the game's second play from scrimmage 72 yards for a score, marking the longest run by a freshman in Delaware history.
