so apparently at the new Yankee Stadium, if you hit the ball in the air over the first and second basemen's heads the homerun fairies will magically carry it into the right field seats.

Glad I have right field seats for the May 2nd game.

I think it has a lot less to do with engineering and a lot more to do with shitty pitching.

Yeah because the dimensions are EXACTLY the same as the old ballpark. Who knows what the explanation is.

Could it be that you overpaid for your players again???

Florida -----something like 28 million
A-ROD------something like 25 million

When one guy is making what a whole other team makes...you might have over paid a few people. Starting pitching is a great place to start.

Same thing I say to every single person that brings up the money situation. If you have the $$ spend it, if you don't, shut the fuck up about what other teams spend. There are owners who have more money than Steinbrenner but they don't spend it like he does, so they have no room to speak.

Inside dimensions are, but geographically at a different angle, and the different aspects to the stadium around the field may cause different gusts or ball flight patterns. STILL, terrible pitching hasn't helped any. Posada's homerun was a little suspect (not that it wasn't a home run, just that it carried a LONG way).

1 bad starting pitcher, who has been pretty lights out the past couple years, does not make place to say over paying. Fact is, once again, our issue is in relief.

Yeah I hate to say it but I think it's time to move Joba back to the 'pen and find another starter for cheap.

I done been sayin this Willie. We have 2 decent relievers, and a 3rd (Joba) would really round out this team. Who to replace him with?

You know their farm system is only good for one or two players every 15 years. They still have Jeter, Rivera, and Joba on their team. Their farm system is cleaned out right now
