9,000 or so less seats is one thing.
Not true. The Phillies have been packing in 46K per game. The Yanks had 50K last night. That's a 4K delta.
I was going on capacity alone. The Phils have a ton more SRO seating. The Yankees have held back on a lot of SRO tickets, which I think is stupid.
It doesn't matter though. My point was the Yankee stadium tickets are not on the whole a ton more expensive than other east coast teams. And I'm not talking face value. I'm talking what real people actually have to pay for them in situations like the playoffs. Sure there are extremes which are crazy (legends seats are a whole different story). But I had tickets last night for $200 a piece. That's not out of this world for world series tickets at any stadium. I didn't go though, because I think I have the flu and sitting in the rain to watch the Yankees get beat (I know they can't hit Lee) isn't my cup of tea.

but the rest of that organization is poison including from the top down
The worst thing that's happened to MLB in the last 50 years
But Jeter is a baseball fans baseball player
I don't know why you would say the Yankee organization is poison.
Anyway, I think Lee auditioned well for the Yankees last night, and I think we'll take him for the 2011 season.

He sure as shit did. Can't wait for him to be a part of our rotation next year

Club option in 2010, and then he'll be ours.
You should use the helmet when you make these statements
Another thing I don't understand, why did you guys play the "Hero's" music for the Yankees introduction and the "Empire's" music for the Phillies? You got it all switched up, you lost the game right there...

My fault, yeah. It's really gonna be great whenever we get Joe Mauer too. So we have a catcher who actually HELPS the pitcher get calls rather than standing up before he even catches it, as if to say, "Sure ump, call ball"

Cute, naive Joe Mauer is still wrestling with that "home team discount" nonsense; once he gets over that, he'll join us over on the dark side.

Damned if I know. WE are the Evil Empire. We gotta get that right.

Eventually he will want to win something, like most people do. It took Kevin Garnett entirely too long to realize the same thing, and he missed out on his prime. You guys are wasting talent, just give up already, and send em over here

So he should go play for the Cardinals, Red Sox, White Sox, Marlins, Phillies, or Diamondbacks.

What number should Mauer wear as a Yankee? Can't wear 7 here.
My favorite Yankee number story is about David Wells. He said he wanted to wear No. 3 to honor Babe Ruth. But he was told that the Yankees honor Babe by NOT allowing anyone to wear his number.
He wore 33 instead.

David Wells will never be mistaken for a rocket scientist.
