I also took into account playoff experience, streaks. But mostly it was just gut feeling. I've watched a few games with both teams this year and felt that they were fairly even but the experience will pay off for the Lightning. Wouldn't hurt my feelings to see the Devils pull off the upset though.

They need some defensemen in the off season.
So Tampa Bay was down 3-2 with about a minute and a half left AND on a power play. They decided to pull the goalie to get a 2-man advantage. Then came two empty net goals by the Devils.
As good as Tampa Bay is, and as terrible as NJ defense is, I don't know why they pulled the goalie while on a power play.

I've NEVER been a fan of pulling the goalie a man up. Free icing makes it just way too easy to get a goal.CAA Flagship wrote:Wildcat Ryan wrote:

Yeah that's one of the weirdest things I've seen.
My LA Kings are torturing me to death, I don't see them coming back from 0-3

Flyers look like shyt. Cindy Crosby has castrated them in this series. No offense, no goaltending, no defense.

Hockey is over in Minnesota and the ice isn't even off the lakes.

Hopefully the Linc prepares care packages for the Vikings fans who come to the 2018 regular season Eags-Vikes game. Tissues, comfort foods, cheese for the whine, etc. Maybe turn down the piped in music and have violinists play during breaks. Anything to calm their fragile souls.Gil Dobie wrote:Hockey is over in Minnesota and the ice isn't even off the lakes.

Flyers with an early exit, once again owned by the Pens.

They had a 4-on-3 advantage and I think they only had 2 shots on goal in the third period and down by 1 goal.93henfan wrote:Flyers with an early exit, once again owned by the Pens.
They kept passing up shots.
Re: 2018 NHL Thread
I watched the whole game. The Flyers defense and goaltending were equally awful today. The refs didn't help either. I forget the score, maybe 5-4, but Sean Couturier was blatantly tripped along the boards, then the Pens banged the turnover right home. Not that I care about the Flyers but I wanted to see a Game 7.

You're going to have to wait another year before Carter Hart comes up most likely - so get ready for more Elliott & Neuvirth filler next season.Ivytalk wrote:Fire Hakstol. And get a real goalie.93henfan wrote:

I’ll say either Vegas or Winnipeg against Pittsburgh in the finals.
