Montana State called a timeout on their last possession to draw up a play that resulted in Jubrile Belo shooting a three (Belo had 0 three-point attempts on the season coming in).

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Slow start filled with turnovers doomed the Hornets in this one. Hornets were able to climb back in it but it was too little too late. Respectable first season for Patrick.
