Good pair of wins for the Jacks!
Off to eGriz
The Big Sky conference is horrible. Blame it on the refs. Some frustrated posters there blaming their best player. So, you know.... the usual.
The Griz don't seem to have the athletic depth they've had in the past (i.e. a wealth of quality guards who could all start). They'll be competitive this year but they aren't as dominant as a few years back.
Did I read this was the 4th time that NAU's womens team has ever won in Missoula? That's kind of a big thing.

That's correct. NAU beat Montana in Missoula 3 straight years ('05, '06, '07 semis), but yesterday's win is the only other one. It's also NAU's first 3-game win streak over UM (Montana won every game in Flagstaff during that '05-07 period).
Hornet women keep rolling with a strong 82-74 win at home against EWU. Decent crowd at the Nest this afternoon.
On the men's side, the Hornets came roaring back from a large deficit and got some late game heroics from Chappell, but EWU escapes with a late shot for the 75-78 win.
Both Hornet teams are looking solid, if they keep this up I might have to make plans for Boise this year.
