Why should that be an issue? If Southern wins, the runner-up should get the auto-bid. What's so hard about that?
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Why not give it to the runner-up no matter what? When was the last time an entire conference had no representatives in the Big Dance? 
All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.

About 30 or so years ago, when the "Metro Conf." existed, Louisville was on probation, not eligible for the NCAA's, but were allowed to play in the Metro tourney. They won it, and the NCAA committee didn't think the runner up was "good enough" to get an invite.....but if what "DSU Rocks" says is true, so be it.
