Texas States top RB Bush out 3-4 weeks

Post by slycat »

Hopefully he'll be back for SUU. Seems very likely for conference at least.

This kid a beast. Ran for 1000+ yards his fresh and soph years.

It wasn’t really the kind of news that any coach would welcome, although it certainly could have been worse.

Texas State head football coach Brad Wright said Bobcat starting running back Karrington Bush will be out three to four weeks after suffering a sprained MCL (medial collateral ligament) on his right knee in last week’s 48-28 win over Angelo State.

Three weeks means that Bush will be out for the Bobcats’ Sept. 19 game at Texas Christian as well as the following week’s (Sept. 26) home game against Texas Southern. Trainers and coaches are hoping that Bush will be able to heal in time for the Bobcats’ Oct. 3 game at Southern Utah, or at least before the team begins Southland Conference play Oct. 10 against Southeastern Louisiana.
