My weekend of footballl

Post by mountain_man »

Bench and myself will be taking a road trip this Saturday. Found tix to the ECU game @ 12, and on the way back, Duke/Richmond @ 7.

Looking forward to this trip. Armanti or no Armanti, we're going to get to see the last two D-I national champions in a double-dip on the same afternoon. Not sure yet, but the Duke/UR tickets might be comps. Hard to pass up this opportunity. Hoping one of the little guys can scratch through and split the twinbill.

Speaking of, I need a ruling on this: aren't we supposed to root for FCS brethren against bowl series teams, with limited exceptions? Bro says we should pull for Duke to beat Richmond, yet I believe he said we were also pulling for Jawjafuckinsuthen to beat Carolina in a couple of weeks, which for us is a battle of dueling heresies. I'm a firm believer in shitting in the Old Well and exposing yourself to old ladies whenever passing through Franklin Street, but Georgia Southern? Really? And cheering for the boys from Pig's Ass but not Richmond? If you're going to be inconsistent with these FBS/FCS matchups, shouldn't an App fan pull for any FCS team as long as they're not, you know, your number one fucking rival?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - when the Iglets take the field against the Tar Holes, I'll be rooting for an earthquake.

Fuck carolina. I wouldn't pull for those sumbitches if they were playing Satan and his minions. The only thing I regret about this weekend is not having the chance to whip their asses.

I am pulling for Duke because the CAA can suck one, and I have family coaching at Duke.

I am also pulling for bench to blackout early in the first quarter, and ask me questions like "Dude, did I show my ass?" or "Did I make it to the bathroom before I puked?" all the way back to Durham...

I pull for everybody but rivals. It's just not in me to pull for a team I can't stand.
