After a little trash talk the vusports.com guys made this real world recluse's blog.....
Or Wideright82:"Step up on the 3rd and maybe you'll get some respect, because as of now, outside your little Temple bubble, you guys are nothing but a joke."
I have a funny (pun intended) feeling there are going to be a lot of guys wearing Cherry and White with Temple caps bouncing down the Lincoln Financial Field steps laughing at that joke come 10 p.m. or so Sept. 3.
This trash talking won't hurt Temple's cause at all because it will only help fill stronger, quicker athletes with a terrible resolve.
But that's why they play the game on the field and that's why I like having guys like Andre Neblett and Dominique Harris and Vaughn Carraway and Jason Harper and Steve Maneri and Adrian Robinson and Alex Joseph on my side.
That will be an interesting game and it is funny that some of you guys got under his skin enough to call you out. But now he's made our Board as well. I love the synergy.
Temple... should probably drop football, or at least move out of the Linc... who the f are they kidding? everyone in philly is a fan of either: Penn State, Notre Dame (FBS) or Nova and Delaware (FCS) why do they even bother?
I worked with Temple alums and students... they just laughed when I asked about Owl football.
North Dakota State University Bison 2011 and 2012 National Champions
I'm a MAC fan and can say for a certainty that this is not going to be your usual Temple football team. They're my pick to win the MAC East and I do happen to give them a 9-3 record this year. The MAC East is the MAC East though and Villanova could easily compete if they managed to play in that division. I think Temple will win by about 10, but that's just my prediction

I agree entirely with what you are saying. It just amazes me that a school who hasn't seen success in the last 20 years has fans with the balls to talk down to Nova because theyre "minor league"

That is exactly why I can't stand University of Washington fans. They talk down about everything, when their team is horrid. One particular incident that torqued me, was when their board was discussing possible head coaches and all I kept reading was how all division 2 (FCS) coaches were not good enough, but what they really needed, was a Brian Kelly sort of coach from Cincinnati.
That right there showed many of them had no idea Kelly came from a real division 2 team in Grand Valley State, but yet, he was the guy they were looking for.

And even though they haven't been to a bowl game in about a decade....they always try to smack talk Oregon about Rose Bowls and a co-national championship from 20 years ago...
