Week 6 Score Thread
Dartmouth beats Penn 28-15
Re: Week 6 Score Thread
13-0, Bison fail on a 2 point conversion. Good news for the Redbirds though, it’s still early. There are only about 5 minutes into the game.

ISU up on Montana 17-7 partway into the second quarter. The grizzly defense seems to hate tackling today.

Montana up 24-17 at half.
Re: Week 6 Score Thread
I caught the last few Griz TDs on Dish Network. All Griz 2nd half. Something like 45-20 when I turned it off. QB had a great long pass then a highlight reel TD run with a hurdle. Pretty entertaining.Vidav wrote:Montana up 24-17 at half.
That one Griz receiver, Jerry Lee Louis or something like that - he had three names, needs to cut his damn hippie hair. That is some bullshit and is unacceptable.

Now 52-20. Hopefully Sneed is done for the day. He has been limping.93henfan wrote:I caught the last few Griz TDs on Dish Network. All Griz 2nd half. Something like 45-20 when I turned it off. I really don't know why there were so many QB runs late.Vidav wrote:Now 52-20. Hopefully Sneed is done for the day. He has been limping.93henfan wrote:

Re: Week 6 Score Thread
Every FCS game McNeese has played this year has been a "could have gone either way" game. The losses to Abilene Christian and Sam Houston State were such that if you're a McNeese fan you say that if they'd have made a play here or there or not made a mistake here or there they'd have won. The wins against Southern, Alcorn State, and Southeastern Louisiana were such that if you're an opponent's fan you say the same thing.Mvemjsunpx wrote: McNeese upset SELU 38-34

Hell of a game, hell of a team effort by the Hornets. 2 defensive TDs, but the dagger was a 13 play, 75 yard TD drive that chewed up almost 7 minutes of the 4th quarter to win the game and end EWU's season. Wow.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Hornets beat EWU 48-27

You won it up front with 7 sacks and forcing 6 holding penalties against an all senior OL. I figured Taylor would get the offense more consistent but Andy Thompson has that D playing really well.SDHornet wrote:Hell of a game, hell of a team effort by the Hornets. 2 defensive TDs, but the dagger was a 13 play, 75 yard TD drive that chewed up almost 7 minutes of the 4th quarter to win the game and end EWU's season. I watched most of the game recorded on 11Sports HD (channel 597 Verizon Fios) after watching the JMU debacle. Congrats to Sac St.kalm wrote:You won it up front with 7 sacks and forcing 6 holding penalties against an all senior OL. Re: Week 6 Score Thread
After beating #24 Elon last week 45-10, JMU beats #24 SBU 45-38 in OT.
JMU mostly went up & down the field & would either score or turn the ball over.
Total offense JMU 547 (329 rushing/218 passing). SBU 436 (118 rushing/318 passing)
4 JMU turnovers (pic off a deflection & 3 fumbles) led to 3 SBU TDs. + JMU fumbled at the SBU 3. SBU fumble led to a JMU TD. So the points +/- off turnovers went about 3 TDs in SBU's favor.
Was televised on SNY (Sports New York) & streamed on Flo Sports. Homer SBU commentators mentioned several times SBU being without several players, including their stud All CAA DL. Never mentioned that JMU was without its top 2 corners, including All World Rashad Robinson, who missed all of last season, and the 3rd-4th games and last night this season. SBU's QB, who came into the game as a huge running threat, but with mediocre passing stats, couldn’t do squat on the ground, but looked like an All American throwing the ball. JMU's remaining DBs were getting beat like red headed step children.
I was worried about this game. 3rd straight on the road against a decent opponent. Every team that wins double digit games has one of those worst game of the season where they lose/almost lose to a team they shouldn't. I'm hoping this turns out to be one of those for JMU .

Re: Week 6 Score Thread
I thought this game was going to turn into a shootout. It probably would have had Barriere not had to go out with an injury. I like what Taylor has done to this offense, but last night I thought he got too cute in the 3rd quarter, specifically when we were up 14 and instead of pounding it with Dotson, went jet motion QB option dance in the backfield sweep around the end option into a INT.kalm wrote:You won it up front with 7 sacks and forcing 6 holding penalties against an all senior OL. I lurked the EWU board and I'm not getting the folks calling for Barrieres head. He's a damn good and athletic QB that gives EWU the best chance at a win every week. Hell his replacement last night is awful. Maybe it's an offensive philosophy thing but EWU should be going read option every play with Barriere getting more called runs in. Oh well, EWU should wi plenty of games the rest of the way out.
