UND is the only screw job I see. Should have been in over EIU.

Still got 3 teams in, 1 seed. Should have been 4 teams. Last 2 teams out were ND and TU. I think ND should have gotten in over WIU..

Should have been in over UNH and EIU. Better wins than both, tougher schedule than UNH.

WIU had a really tough schedule and 3 solid top 25 wins.

I'd say we drew the short stick, but this is what we deserve for losing to Cal Poly and Weebs at home

The 9-2 season that could of been :ohno:

Agree on the EIU part- would have put ND ahead of EIU...

Maybe #5, but not top-4. The loss to NoCo pretty much sealed that.

No FCS team has a bigger win than PSU.

Plus losing to a 6-5 UNC isn't a bad loss

Wonder if ISU and NDSU will EVER play each other in the regular season?

Maybe the newbie in me, but I am fine with where we are. First round bye, home game for the second round. At the beginning of the year, if you would have told me that Portland State would even be in the playoffs, I would never have believed it. Also, I like that they separated the three. I think we all have a chance to do some damage.

Super tough draw for the Griz and Viks but both are playing well and have a shot to pull off a run.

SUU might have the easiest path with the two Southlands who are still a mystery.

Talking about easy, two of the last in, UNH and WIU get rewarded with Colgate (at home) and Dayton. :ohno:

NoCo only went 6-5 because their non-conference schedule was garbage. Remember that NAU, NoDak, & SUU completely destroyed NoCo (and Weber beat them convincingly in Greeley).

Definitely a seed-worthy resume, just not quite top-4 seed.

It's still one game, & I'm skeptical PSU would win if they played again.

And you act like beating Wazzu makes the rest of the schedule irrelevant.

I can see some truth in that but at the same time Sam Houston State has pretty much owned the Big Sky in recent years. Also I think Sam Houston State may very well have the highest pure talent level in the subdivision. I haven't even seen Southern Utah but i would still bet that if they are going to win they are going to have to beat a team that's got a higher talent level than they do. Not saying they can't do it and actually I'm HOPING they do it both because I don't want McNeese to have to play Sam Houston State again and because I just flat want to see them play a different team. But Sam Houston State really is loaded talent wise. When you put Keeler's "mercenary" personnel strategy together with being located in the obscenely talent rich vicinity Sam Houston State's located in you get a whole lot of pure talent for a FCS team.

Like if you compare Montana's opening round draw to Southern Utah's I HAVE seen South Dakota State a couple of times this year and I don't think they have anywhere close to the same pure talent level as Sam Houston State does. Sam Houston State is a way faster, more athletic team than South Dakota State is. Maybe not better. But more talented.

Southern Utah's administration should've stepped up and submitted a competitive bid for a home game. They're the Big Sky champiion, for Pete's sake.

I thought Southern Utah's defense was the best defense I've seen all year, and that includes Washington State. I don't know how SDSU hung 55 points on them. The T-Birds have some big studs on defense.

Considering that the last time a current Big Sky member beat Wazzu was in 1947, and that we had never beaten a Pac-8, 10, or 12 team ever, that in itself is why I would not want to play them again. I'm perfectly happy with taking the win the first game of the year and calling it good.

You can say that about a lot of teams. NAU would beat UC Davis and Montana now

I hope you're right because I want them to beat Sam Houston State but Sam Houston State's got WAY more talent on offense than South Dakota State does. So if South Dakota State put 55 points on them let's just hope they play a hell of a lot better game on defense than they did against South Dakota State.

There's more to talent than speed. Just ask the Raiders. Or the NDSU teams that repeatedely handle SHSU

You're reaching Jon. Montana, with a healthy Gustafson, beats NAU.
