Big South TEs 2015

Post by bjtheflamesfan »

Hey guys, Im a bit late in getting this one up after some craziness over the weekend but its finally going up, but with the short time frame before the start of the line threads, and my lack of consistent wi-fi outside of work, Im gonna make the TE discussion an open one as well just for this season, especially with the fact that every team uses their tight ends differently.

Anyway, this Saturday kicks off the line discussions so I look forward to everybody's perspective on their team (btw, where the heck are the G-W fans, the Monmouth fans and the KSU fans?).

Charleston Southern University Buccaneers return two experienced TEs in Nathan Prater (R-SR) and Stephen Cagle (SR).

Nathan Prater

Stephen Cagle

Yes, Nathan is 6'8".

Nathan Prater: 12 - GP 13 - REC 194 - YDS 14.9 - AVG 3 - TD 39 - LONGEST 16.2 - AVG/G
Steven Cagle: 9 - GP 1 - REC 18 - YDS 18.0 - AVG 0 - TD 18 - LONGEST 2.0 - AVG/G

The Bucs use TEs primarily as blockers; however, Prater gives the QB an option (oulet) as a tall target. Both are experienced Seniors.

Travay Hatten and Qua-Vonn Scott are the newcomers to the squad

CCU returns some solid TEs in Sr Tom Pauciello 6'6" 240 (15grabs for 202, 2TDs), Sr. Craig Weick 6'5" 240 (7 for 86 and 1TD), So.AJ Sattinger (1 for 4yds). We also have Jr. Lorenzo D'Angelo 6'0' 230, and newcomer Fr. Tyler Wheeler 6'5" 225.

Interesting fact on Weick - he sustained burns to over 15% of his body when he was doing yard work, trying to burn leaves, and put gas on the fire and was expected to miss the remainder of the season, but did come back for the last few games last year.
