SUU 21-42 SAC
CP 28-30 IDST
UCD 21-23 NAU
PORTST 22-29 MTST
WEB 24-12 UND

  • NConf Record: 0-0
    Overall: 17-26

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 8-9

Best Performance: Idaho St. 30, (#21) Cal Poly 28 - Despite being outgained & losing turnovers, the Bengals turned Cal Poly's greatest weapon against them; ISU went 3/3 on fourth down while the 'Stangs went 1/5.

Worst Performance: North Dakota 12, Weber St. 24 - The No-Nicks actually had a 100-yard rusher for once, but the Keaton Studsrud experiment didn't go any better than last week.

Most Surprising Result: (#25) Northern Arizona 23, UC Davis 21 - Not being able to score a touchdown in the redzone against a defense like UC Davis's isn't a good sign for a probable playoff team.

Southland

LAM 41-44 UCA (OT)
HBU 7-76 SELU
SFA 31-16 MCNSE

    Overall: 16-23

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 8-9

Best Performance: Stephen F. Austin 31, (#6) McNeese St. 16 - Zach Conque completes 91% of his passes as the Lumberjacks more than offset an ineffective performance by Gus Johnson.

Worst Performance: Houston Baptist 7, (#14) Southeastern Louisiana 76 - I don't think I've ever seen a team get outgained by 726 yards before.

Most Surprising Result: (#6) McNeese St. 16, Stephen F. Austin 31 - The Cowboys don't usually play like this at home until the playoffs. ;)

Worst Performance: South Dakota 29, Western Illinois 44 - The Coyotes allow Trenton Norvell to throw for 287 yards and 5 touchdowns on just 28 attempts as they all but clinch last place.

Most Surprising Result: (#17) Indiana St. 17, (#22) South Dakota St. 32 - Sycamores look decidedly uncompetitive in a crucial home matchup.

OVC

MUR 26-48 EIU

Worst Performance: Southeast Missouri St. 26, Tennessee Tech 27 - If Austin Peay wasn't still on their schedule, it would be looking like a 6-game losing streak to end the season for the Redhawks.

Most Surprising Result: Tennessee St. 31, Austin Peay 27 - The Tigers did end their 5-game skid, but needing to rally from an 11-point deficit against the awful Governors isn't much different than a loss.

Pioneer League

MHEAD 28-49 USD

DRAKE 34-30 DAY
JU 56-0 DVDSN
mizbap 7-66 CAMP
MARIST 14-22 STET

Most Surprising Result: Norfolk St. 7, (#20) Bethune-Cookman 13 - I gather from their past scores & from watching part of this game that the Spartans just make everyone that plays in their games (including themselves) look comically inept. :?

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 10-13

Best Performance: Yale 45, Brown 42 - Not much defense from the Bulldogs again, but it's still tough to lose when you get a 200-yard rusher (Tyler Varga) and convert 77% of your third downs.

Worst Performance: Cornell 7, Dartmouth 42 - Not only was this Cornell's 6th. straight loss to Dartmouth, it was the most lopsided result in the series since 1981.

    Most Surprising Result: (none)

SWAC

PVAMU 51-23 UAPB
TXSO 20-30 SU
JSU 10-26 ALST

Most Surprising Result: Prairie View A&M 51, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 23 - The Panthers were supposed to be good offensively, but scoring at least 48 points in 4 of their last 5 games is still impressive.
