The Basics: The University of Northern Iowa football program will hit the road to open its Missouri Valley Football Conference schedule against Indiana State. The game will kick off at 2 p.m. CT inside Memorial Stadium in Terre Haute, Ind.

About the Sycamores: Indiana State will enter the game Saturday with an overall record of 3-1. The Sycamores only loss of the season came at the hands of FBS foe Indiana, falling 28-10. Indiana State most recently battled No. 22 Liberty, winning the game 38-19. Senior quarterback Mike Perish is currently leading the MVFC in total offense (1,106).

The Last Time against Indiana State: The Panthers and the Sycamores haven’t faced off since the 2011 season when then ranked No. 2 UNI picked up a 23-9 win over No. 17 Indiana State. David Johnson ran for 92 yards and a touchdown while former UNI wide receiver Terrell Sinkfield finished the game with 53 receiving yards and a touchdown. Tyler Sievertsen knocked in three field goals to add to the score line.
