What a finish

Post by CSUBUCDAD »

Chuck South pulls it out in overtime 47-41. Over 1100 yards in offense between them and Charllote on the day. Reyes rolls again with around 160 yards rushing.

Yes, and what a GREAT day for recruiting, especially locally. This game was televised on WMMP MyTV, through UNC Charlotte's broadcast, Comcast channel 13, so it was seen throughout the SC/NC area.

And what did they see? A beautiful stadium with Conference USA on the field (not sure why, they aren't in it just yet, but, cant blame 'em). An excellent football game. And Charleston Southern coming out with a great overtime win.

High school juniors and seniors saw CSU win a huge home game last week in front of a record crowd for CSU, saw the announcement of the exciting new additions in facilities, and then saw CSU win a thriller on a Conference USA labeled field in a big beautiful stadium at UNCC. 5-0, nationally ranked.

Just hope the CSU admin can lock Coach Chadwell down for a long term stay at CSU. People also tend to forget, Coach Chadwell was the Offensive Coordinator (assisting Jay Mills) at CSU in 2005 when they won the Big South and Collin Drafts at QB broke every record CSU had and many BIg South records. So his influence began there long before he took the HC job in 2013.
