Sam Houston State at Eastern Washington, 3:30 pm EDT

Eastern outguns SHSU, 56-35...Vernon Adams 26/48, 302 yards, 4 touchdowns.

Surprisingly low ypa numbers for Adams (6.3). He averaged 10.3 ypa last year.

That's also a relatively unimpressive 130.4 efficiency rating. He was at 183.1 last season.

Agreed. Didn't help that his receivers wanted to drop the ball most of the time in the first half.

Surprising for Eastern's receivers to get the drops. It seemed to be a sloppy game all around, though.

EWU's running game did well. Their run defense not so much…
