SUU and the Playoffs?

Post by grizzaholic »

With their schedule I am thinking they can make the playoffs. The road will be difficult, and they might need a couple breaks but I can see them making the playoffs this year.

I think they used up all their breaks last season. :coffee:

-Aug 30: @ Nevada
-Sep 06: @ Southeastern Louisiana
-Sep 13: vs South Dakota State
-Sep 20: @ Fresno State
-Sep 27: vs Weber State *
-Oct 04: @ Cal Poly *
-Oct 11 vs Eastern Washington *
-Oct 18: @ Idaho State *
-Oct 25: vs North Dakota *
-Nov 08: @ Sacramento State *
-Nov 15: vs Montana *
-Nov 22: @ Northern Arizona *

Our only chance we get to the playoffs is going to hinge off our conference schedule. Thankfully we get teams like the Griz and EWU @ home but even then it will be no easy task, probably will have to win 6 or 7 of our Conference games. Our first 4 games are brutal and we would realistically have to beat both SELU and SDSU which will be tough and we may have a shot against Nevada.

I see somewhere between 2-10 and 0-12. Nearly guaranteed win, however, against ISU. Possible win against North Dakota. I don't seem much chance against anyone else....

Still mad we have beaten you two times out of the past three years I see Hornet, that's not going to happen. We will at least have a 3rd when we beat Sac State but then again your prediction history is...well speaks for itself. Keep hating we will keep winning. :thumb:

When SUU played actual good, playoff-caliber teams last year, they didn't do too well. That schedule has 5 supposedly playoff-caliber opponents and 2 FBSers. That means even getting to .500 will be a tall task, much less threatening for another playoff bid.

You don't think they'll beat Weber State? Ouch.

I see 4-5 wins on that schedule. 6-7 at most.

7-5 didn't get teams in last year with a good OOC and tough conference slate....

Then again this is the Big Sky we're talking about...the selection committee has a raging hard-on for them and the CAA
