Trainer's 5 seasons as HC at URI:
09' 1-10/0-8
10' 5-6/4-4
11' 3-8/2-6
12' 0-11/0-8
13' 3-9/2-6
Overall 12-44/8-32
In all fairness to Trainer, URI announced in late 2010 that they were going to the NEC in 2013. Then summer 2012 they announce they were staying in the CAA afterall..I believe they played with only around 50 schollies 2011, 40 some in 2012, and around 50 this season. 1st they were trimming to get to 40 for the NEC, and they've only had one recruiting class since they announced they were reversing their decision and staying in the CAA after all. Subpar facilities (play in what's basically a 5,200 seat HS stadium) combined with the back and forth of "we're going to the NEC oops no we're staying in the CAA". Sounds like they ought to fire their AD too for jerking their program around..
