My picks

I like the same as 89Hen, except, I see Delaware winning a little easier 31-14 over Richmond. I think the Tribe proves this weekend they have the right QB as he leads them to a win over Towson. I do fear our staff is playing it way too close to the vest with the offense. Saboor and McBride are playmakers if given the chance. I don't think the Towson defense is that good and the Tribe will need to attack in order to win. West will get his yards, but hopefully not the TD's. Tribe 27, Towson 17. The Tribe had a similar team 4 years ago, and I will always believe we quit attacking and lost our best chance at a national title. I don't think you can beat teams like Eastern Washington, NDSU, Maine or Towson by playing close to the vest. Hopefully, this will be the week the Tribe attacks.

Can't wait for next week's Delaware/Villanova thread. BTW, my argument for why Villanova can't go is that they are the 7th team in the CAA right now. I guess that could change with the results this weekend and next.

I still wake up with cold chills seeing a blocked chip shot for a Hen loss to the Spiders. Seen that twice in person. That's why I'm not going tomorrow.

JMU vs UNH the week before, the offense suprisingly struggled against a UNH defense that isn't that good, , the JMU defense was its usual stout self against the run, but the JMU secondary was HORRENDOUS against the pass. Gave up 449 yds. But UNH had their all CAA WR RJ Harris back, who had missed their game @ W&M the week before. They are historically a good passing team, they were at home, and JMU was missing a starting corner to boot. So I figured surely JMU would bounce back vs SBU, who didn't have the passing game UNH did.....so....

JMU vs SBU the JMU offense was very good. 475 yds of offense. Birdsong maybe his best game of season. 23 of 34, 355 yds, 5 TD passes, 2 INT.

Defense was its usual stout self against a good SBU run game.

Did the pass defense bounce back? NO! Pass defense was HORRENDOUS against an SBU team that wasn't suppose to have a strong passing game. SBU passed for 395, 295 yds in the 1st half. SBU QB and top 2 WR looked like All Americans. JMU's top 3 CBs are 2 rFr and a converted WR moved to CB in game 7. 2 starting safeties a pre season AA and a true FR. Were HORRENDOUS in the 1st half. Continuously burned..

After burying themselves in the 1st half, going down 31-17, 2nd half JMU outscored SBU 21-10. But was all for naught. You could not have seen worse pass defense than what JMU had in the 1st half. HORRENDOUS.. :ohno:

Oh well. No playoffs. Season over..
