Last week I was listening to Baton Rouge Sports talk radio I heard audio of the video clip described in the article at http://www.shreveporttimes.com/article/ ... motivation" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . It's a comment by Southern U linebacker Anthony Balancier on upcoming opponent Northwestern State.

Here's how it's described in the article:

Southern senior linebacker Anthony Balancier told WAFB Channel 9 in Baton Rouge after practice on Tuesday that the Demons were “horrible.”

When asked what he said, Balancier repeated that NSU was “horrible.” Horrible, as in they stink, the reporter asked? “Yeah, you could say that,” Balancier answered.

I wish I could find the video because it was not only what he said...it was the way he said it.

So anyway Northwestern State beat Southern 55-14. The score was 31-0 with 5 minutes to go in the second quarter.

Can you just IMAGINE the comments being made to Mr. Balancier at that point?

They have a good coach now. Look for them to improve significantly. I think we got a hint of that when they beat Missouri State on the road to start the season. I know Missouri State is near the bottom of the MVC but they were pretty competitive in most of their conference games last year. And they were pretty competitive against Iowa last week. I don't think last year's Northwestern State team would've beaten them.
