The Hornets fell 24-0 last night but had their chances to score points. Safron had a poor game (2 picks) but still got the Hornets into scoring position at least 4 times. The FG unit was an abortion as poor snaps/bobbled holds resulted in 2 missed FGs (1 blocked). Then in the 2nd half the Hornets had two turnovers on downs in the red zone so the Hornets potentially left 20 points on the field. The Hornets did manage more 1st down and dominated TOP.
Hornet defense didn’t get ran off the field which I though was possible given what SJSU had returning. Defensively SJSU had to work for it as they held prolific passer David Fales to under 300 yards. The Hornets forced quite a few 3 and outs and aside from one long run did a solid job defending the run. I believe SJSU played their starters for the entire game. The Hornets suffered a couple of injuries but I don’t know how severe they are.
I had the opportunity to attend the game and had a great time. I hope we play them again in the near future.

San Jose State is a much better team than they were just a few years ago.
