This is it. Game week. Yes this is real. In fact, it’s so real it’s unbelievable. The last football-less weekend as has passed. Yay! It’s also the beginning of the end of the SoCon. It marks an interesting year where there will be no playoffs and no official SoCon title with a new head coach for the first time in a quarter-century. The circumstances makes the 12-game season mean more than usual since it’s literally everything. That starts in a couple of days, as the Apps will board a plane destined for western Montana to start the Attack Era in Washington-Grizzly Stadium. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN3.com for those of us not making the trek.

-Since the football team is heading out Thursday for Missoula, they need to watch out for Griz fans being too kind to them. The below picture shows players from Stephen F Austin the night before the 2009 quarterfinal with Griz fans buying them drinks. Montana beat SFA 51-0.
