Rescued from a fire by custodian Charles Wurtham at the NY Normal College in 1906.
First appeared in the college seal in 1913.

Stood in the rotunda of Draper Hall at the NY State College for Teachers for over six decades.

Appeared on the cover of
The Saturday Review in 1962.
The class of 1967 paid to move her to the uptown campus of the State University of New York at Albany.
Stood in the Campus Center, then the library. Now graces the lobby of Science Library.
In 2003, a new wordmark, with Minerva under an arch reflecting the campus architecture, and a revised seal were established
