APRs in
NCAA just sent out its APR report for the year. In football Hampton and Texas Southern were blocked from post-season play. In basketball the list is longer, including Cal State Bakersfield, Jacksonville State, Towson, U Riverside, UConn (!) and Toledo. There will be some moans out there.

Delaware State needs to continue to improve their scores in Football and Basketball. Those are the only two that are below 930 and is drawing the ire of the NCAA.
2010-2011

Men's Basketball: 894
Baseball: 973
Men's XC: 970
Men's Indoor Track: 943
Men's Outdoor Track: 947
Softball: 970
Women's Basketball: 950
Women's Bowling: 986
Women's XC: 959
Women's Soccer: 948
Women's Tennis: 972
Women's Indoor Track: 953
Women's Outdoor Track: 953
Women's Volleyball: 989
Combine that with Women's LAX and Women's Golf starting up in 2013. All of a sudden, lil ol' DSU suddenly becomes a more attractive option as a expansion candidate. If we can get into the NEC and go to 40 scholarships, we can bring back Men's tennis (possibly Wrestling), and add a Men's Golf and LAX team.

App State = 982
Leading the way is the academic performance of Appalachian State’s football program, which boasts a multi-year APR of 982, 38 points higher than the NCAA Division I FCS average of 944. The Mountaineers’ football APR easily leads the Southern Conference and is 25 points higher than the SoCon average of 957.

In 2010-11, Portland State had 9 out of 15 teams with APRs of 1000 (that includes men's basketball)The drag is, of course, football, at around 960. For the multi-year (2007-2011) our women's basketball received 973, volleyball 983, and men's tennis 986.
