So will Harvard just "mail it in" on Saturday now that the Crimson have clinched the Ivy title? Will Patrick Witt's decision to withdraw his Rhodes app and play in The Game give Yale an edge in its quest for its first win over Harvard in New Haven since 1999? Inquiring minds want to know.

I will predict a 34-21 Harvard win and a crowd of 48,000.

Since Yale's quarterback gave up his chance at a Rhodes Scholarship to play - I hope for his sake he does well... (of course, he's graduating from Yale... his life won't likely be all that hard)

It's hard to imagine Harvard having any trouble moving on Yale's porous defense.

I think (hope) Yale will score, but unfortunately, not nearly enough.

Yale did lose their best receiver in Chris Smith, but will miss him more on kick returns since H should be kicking off frequently. Plus Yale is fairly deep at wide receiver.

A good "walk up" sale means weather will be a deciding factor.

I haven't looked at a forecast, but you know how Ivy fans are. If there is even a hint of rain the crowd could be under 40k.

Yes, modern Ivy crowds are wusses. I remember sitting through the miserable, rainy '81 edition of The Game with over 73,000 others. Although I'm sure the Yale contingent had a "sunnier" view.

The day before had been about 50 and beautiful for the freshman game.

IIRC, Harvard's hoss RB that year was from Montana. So I guess the cold didn't bother him!
