1. North Dakota State: If anyone had any doubts about whether they were the best team in the league, I think the 27-16 win on the road in Terre Haute should quiet those doubts.
2. Northern Iowa: Trailed 17-14 with 2:00 left but on 4th and goal at the 1 and on second effort, UNI scores the game winning TD to beat YSU for the eleventh straight time... UGH.
3. Illinois State: ILSU takes WIU 31-7. The Redbirds are officially playoff eligible. At this point their most quality win would be the win against Indiana State.
4. Youngstown State: Well for those that watched the game, I think you can see that we have made some progress defensively, but it is still a year away. Great effort on the road, but a game the Penguins needed. Must win at #1 NDSU next Saturday to become playoff eligible and potentially steal a playoff spot from someone else.
5. Indiana State: Well they fall to 5-4 on the year, but are in better shape than YSU to finish 7-4. They must win out for any shot at a playoff spot, with their most quality win coming on the road at WKU.
---Drop Off--
6. South Dakota State: SDSU with a 45-34 win over SIU. SDSU looks like they will lock themselves in at the #6 spot through years end.
7. Southern Illinois: Another tough loss for this struggling program... Maybe next year.
8. Missouri State: Best performance of the season by the Bears in a BYE!!!
9. Western Illinois: 14 points last week, 7 this week. WIU is just bad this year.
Playoff Outlook:
1. NDSU: Lock
2. UNI: Win and will be in.
3. ILSU: 7 wins, but may need some help
4. INSU: Need to win out and will need help
5. YSU: Need to win out and will need help
Week 11: Missouri Valley Football Conference Power Rankings
Re: Week 11: Missouri Valley Football Conference Power Ranki
would be interesting to see Indiana State (likely) and YSU (would take a huge upset) win out and see how the commitee would handle 5 seven-(Div. I)-teams from the Valley.
