I cannot believe I am taking the bait. It doesn't really matter to me. He did a fantastic job this year. If he leaves some will be happy some will be indifferent. I think he has done some of his best coaching ever this year, don't really understand it but he did a good job, and he can stay as long as he wants if he coaches like he did this year.

Grizza - not suggesting he will be fired, but that he will go after a FBS job, either head, or coordinator.

Oh...I see. I need to read a little better apparently.dbackjon wrote:Grizza - not suggesting he will be fired, but that he will go after a FBS job, either head, or coordinator.
He will probably test the waters really hard this year to see what is available out there in an assistant HC/special teams guy. I hope it doesn't hurt recruiting if he takes his sweet time to decide if he wants to come back or not.

Yes.
There aren't really any good FBS jobs left, so I don't see why he'd leave now.

Footballscoop.com says the UCLA coach Rick Neuheisal is interested with veteran defensive coordinator John Thompson and Montana head coach Bobby Hauck regarding the UCLA defensive coordinator job.
Bobby's brother Tim left Montana last year and is coaching at UCLA.

Alos the have history and Nueheisal has been in Missoula a couple of times when he wasn't coaching having some beers in Red's with Bobby and so forth after attending some Griz games. They are pretty good friends so that could happen but I don't know if he'd go for the DC job but it's a definite possibility with a great pay upgrade.SloStang wrote:Footballscoop.com says the UCLA coach Rick Neuheisal is interested with veteran defensive coordinator John Thompson and Montana head coach Bobby Hauck regarding the UCLA defensive coordinator job.

Word around the campfire is that BH will be in Missoula for next season. He was in the circle but not a front runner for the UCLA job.

If he can't handle the Richmond offense, he's got no business messing with USC......
