From worst to first

Post by Darell1976 »

UND has gone from 3-8 a year ago to currently tied for first in the GWFC standings. UND have a 4-2 record with 2 of the losses coming to FBS teams. UND is 2-0 vs FCS teams including a win at GWFC foe SUU. UND has a bye this week but hosts Cal Poly on the 22nd. UND's remainder schedule has Cal Poly, DII-Sioux Falls, and South Dakota at home, and UC Davis and Northern Colorado on the road. The GWFC title game could be UND vs USD at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks on the last game of the year. What a classic that will be.

We are ranked #18 in the Coaches, #22 in the AGS.com, #23 in the TSN, and #25 in the CS.com polls.....I think our turnaround season has arrived!! Congrats Sioux a great year so far and lets keep it up. Come on 9-2!!!

I think you're a little pre-mature with this one Darrel - seeing that we've only played one conference game. I do think that the Sioux are a better team this year, but we could potentially lose all of the remaining conference games and finish at or near the basement.

I do agree that USD - UND for the conference championship (if it happens) would be a fun one.....

I see it this way we have USD and Cal Poly at home (our record at home is great) and UC Davis on the road. If Humbolt (DII) can beat UC Davis I think we can too. That Sioux Falls game could mess things up with players looking ahead.

UC Davis is a W, but I think USD (as of now) is a L and CP is an toss for me.

What are you talking about? They beat South Dakota State so bad it made their quarterback quit. Their only other FCS game was in Missoula.
