This is not only era elitism, it is also misleading.
The Iggles have THREE NFL Championships.
Of course, by that standard, the Giants have SEVEN. But PLEASE be accurate....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Let him go. What good is living in the past if you can't also rewrite it.SuperHornet wrote:This is not only era elitism, it is also misleading.

The Iggles' last title was led by two of the toughest guys in NFL history: QB Norm Van Brocklin (a rare guy who won titles with two different teams) and C-LB Chuck Bednarik, the last of the two-way stars.

What you're doing is saying that the Super Bowl era is better than the previous era by definition. I'm asserting that that is not true.ODUalum11 wrote:Please notice I said "Super Bowl Championships" not "NFL Championships" and how is it living in the past when its current day fact?SuperHornet wrote:This is not only era elitism, it is also misleading.

Everything that happened in the past is current day fact.ODUalum11 wrote:Please notice I said "Super Bowl Championships" not "NFL Championships" and how is it living in the past when its current day fact?SuperHornet wrote:This is not only era elitism, it is also misleading.

What does the first three Giant SB wins have to do with next weekends game? Is Lawrence Taylor playing this weekend? Phil Simms?

They might be better off with Simms at QB (though both teams are DEFINITELY better off with who they currently have than Joe Pisarcik).
But note that all MY argument shows is that the Giants STILL have a better resume than the Iggles. (In fact, the disparity is worse.) I'm just saying that they should ALL be included.

True. But they don't play the game with resumes.SuperHornet wrote:They might be better off with Simms at QB (though both teams are DEFINITELY better off with who they currently have than Joe Pisarcik).

7/3 = 6.93SuperHornet wrote: But note that all MY argument shows is that the Giants STILL have a better resume than the Iggles. (In fact, the disparity is worse.) I'm just saying that they should ALL be included.
3/0 = impossible
I think 6.93 is better than the alternative.

Wouldn't 6-0 be a better gauge? As in the Eagles have beaten the Gints 6 straight times.

Either you're too young or stoopid to know you have no chance of winning this battle. I hope it's age.ODUalum11 wrote:you really want to play this game?

I'll just point out that the giants own the all-time series vs. the Eagles.

Probably not in your lifetime. The last ten years has been 15-7 in favor of the Birds. Who cares who won in 1948?ODUalum11 wrote:I'll just point out that the giants own the all-time series vs. the Eagles.

You're really gonna come on here show highlights from games from previous years and ask the question of who cares who won in a certain year?89Hen wrote:Probably not in your lifetime. Two of the four were recent and they are all timeless.ODUalum11 wrote:You're really gonna come on here show highlights from games from previous years and ask the question of who cares who won in a certain year?89Hen wrote: Probably not in your lifetime. You weren't even alive for two of the three. You sure you're not a Redskins fan?ODUalum11 wrote:Just like the Giants Super Bowl Championships.89Hen wrote: Two of the four were recent and they are all timeless.I wish you could have the same satisfaction of seeing the Eagles win the Super Bowl but unfortunately I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

Also, I will not tolerate such a slap in the face that is the question if I'm sure I'm not a Redskins fan.
