Re: NAU signs six JUCO transfers
NAU have a tunnel with a 6-2 ceiling? What's up with that. Dumas has gotten some attention, he looks like he's left a mark, but the rest are off the radar...probably did JUCO to deal with grades or lack of promotion...developed a little...but none are on any lists I can see...
...recruiting, recruiting, recruiting...
I was just talking about a D5 HS QB that looked great his Sr. year...won D5 Section...looked great on tape...playing against other D5's.
Then, he gets on a college D1 field...is having very serious problems getting it together...can spot and call about 15%, but the rest is dismal...boot and dive are too slow, etc. It's tough to look past the smaller schools, but fair is fair...the D3-D5 schools are preparing for D3-D5 level play...so it's hard to spot the talent, and the ones that stand out, sometimes can't make the step up.

Six Juco transfers in one year is not that bad, in reality. A lot of good CA Juco talent. These may not be it, but it is out there

Re: NAU signs six JUCO transfers
They've GOT to build the program with 4 year players, Jon. These 1 or 2 year wonders don't often pan out. Much like FBS dropdowns....not a big fan. And yes, I realize that 3/5 of Montana's O-Line was FBS dropdowns...(Arizona State, Boise State, Oklahoma)....and they STILL got their asses handed to them by Richmond's D-Line.dbackjon wrote:When the University realizes that 6-5 is not a consistent winner...AZGrizFan wrote:When's Sauer going to realize this ain't the way to build a consistent winner??

And without those Drop-downs/criminals, how many games does Montana win this year?AZGrizFan wrote:They've GOT to build the program with 4 year players, Jon.
