UNI announces games with both Iowa and Wisconsin for 2012, and a home/home series with Northern Colorado in '13/'14.
Could be a tough year next season, but it should be fun.

UNI should get $1MM total for those two.DJH wrote:http://www.unipanthers.com/ViewArticle. ... =205244641

Hasn't been a problem for them lately.bluehenbillk wrote:So basically to make the FCS playoffs in 2012 UNI will need to win their league...
No, seriously that's cool - the Iowa game I'm imagining is huge for you guys, I'd love to see UD play Penn State one year.

If I'm not mistaken, UNI has made the FCS playoffs 15 times, and only ONE of those playoff berths was as an at-large. And even in that year, we were co-champs of the league. All 14 other appearances came as the auto-bid from the league.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Hasn't been a problem for them lately.bluehenbillk wrote:So basically to make the FCS playoffs in 2012 UNI will need to win their league...

assuming that they fill their last spot with a "lower level" FCS opponent, and they win that, and assuming that they lose both Big 10 games (which while not a certainty, is the most probable result), then they could very likely snag an at-large if they finished second or third in the MVFC, with 6 or 7 conference wins.bluehenbillk wrote:So basically to make the FCS playoffs in 2012 UNI will need to win their league.

And App State already has Montana on their 2012 schedule (at the Rock).JayJ79 wrote:Somehow or another the rumor of UNI scheduling a game with App State in 2012 popped up on PantherNation,
but I personally don't see that happening.
Though that would be one heck of a challenging non-conference schedule for a year: Iowa, Wisconsin, App State.

The Kayak Civilization just discovered the wheel. We leave a lot to be desired. It's about **** time you came around to my way of thinking.

Last year would have set up some Devlin drama. UD had a great defense, as well. PSU had Picsix McGlon.I'd love to see UD play Penn State one year.

So Thunnderbird fans....I'm sorry.
SUU and UNI agreed to the buyout clause....UNI found the money to pay SUU for the game. That's the risk you take by taking the second game of a home and home. This is the reason UNI almost exclusively does home and homes where they get the first game. Not because they have the intention of buying it out, because the money is never there for UNI to do it, but so it doesn't happen to them. UNI has honored every other game with SUU they have set up ( 3 or 4 over the last decade)dbackjon wrote:clenz wrote:From the sound of it Wisconsin is paying $450K for this game, plus the buyout of the SUU game for next years final game of the home and home, which would be played in Utah.

So UNI is fucking over SUU - really nice.
I hope UNI gets steam-rolled, and goes 0-11 next year.
Sorry Clenz - nothing personal.
UNI should at least move this year's SUU game to Cedar City.

Huh? That's bullshit. A program like SUU is freaking lucky to even get a program like UNI to come out and play a game on their field in the first place. (which UNI has already done) They are getting paid off for the game anyway so what does it matter?dbackjon wrote:clenz wrote:From the sound of it Wisconsin is paying $450K for this game, plus the buyout of the SUU game for next years final game of the home and home, which would be played in Utah.

What's your problem with that?

Pretty easy decision if you are UNI. Get paid a bunch of money to go play a televised game against a B10 team, or spend a bunch of your own cash to go out to buttfuck, Utah and play a game in front of 2K people.
