OK Boys...Heading to Chatty

Post by Ursus A. Horribilis »

Gonna be gone until Sunday making my way on the charter in 9 1/2 hrs. Haven't packed a thing or washed the Griz gear yet so I'm heading home to get my poop grouped. Hopefully meeting up with Catamount Man, Appaholic, Bench, and if Cleets can make it he was talking about picking up Citdog and OL FU but at last talki with him he thought it was pretty improbable that he was gonna make it. Hope he can pull it off but it's gonna be a good time regardless. I hope the Griz can get one last victory this season and I'm sure it ain't gonna be easy but I think the Griz can get it and bring the NC back to Missoula and the BSC. Now if there comes a time when you're watching the game and the camera screens across the Griz crowd and you feel like looking away because you can't handle the handsomeness that you see...That's probably me and Grizo.

The road goes on forever, and the party never ends.

GO GRIZ!

Have a few for me, Ursus! Remember, you owe me for handling that "package" you sent me!!

I think I saw the Grizo, but unsure as I have never actually met the legend.

Was he wearing shorts and has a grey beard with some killer tats?

Ursus,

You can't go unless you take Chris with you.

LOL.

Yes, that was Grizo, we all hung out most of the time down there and had a great time.

Superhornet...I didn't take Chris with me but he found his way down there as I talked to him for a second when we were leaving the Narket St. Tavern and going back up the street for another round of a rack of ribs at Porker's. Some really great FN ribs there! And to top it off they have about the coldest beer I've ever had in my life.

Your sighting of the Grizo was correct, Peems...that was me. You should have introduced your self, everyone else did!

Ursus posted what is probably the biggest understatement that I've ever read..."and had a great time." It was freakin' AMAZING!!!

I've been a lot of places, and done a whole lot of things. Without hesitation, I can say that this "Event" is clearly in the top 3 things that I've ever done in my fairly long life! I simply can not stress that enough!!!

We got back about 14 hours ago, and I'm already ready to go back!

Ate a ton of ribs, drank a shit-load of beer, pissed off a bartender, saw the two best teams in the State of Montana lose a National Championship...within 18 hours, saw my first Griz game away from Washington/Grizzly, got a kiss from Catamountman, talked on the phone with Appoholic...who sounded like he was eating a banana, or had a similar shaped object in his mouth. FWIW, him and I are now even ...I blew him off when he came out here, and he blew me off when I went down there.

Probably the highlight for me were the people that I was fortunate enough to meet. I've always heard that you're judged by the friends you keep. If that's true, Ursus should be expecting Sainthood very soon. He introduced me to five of his close pals, and we all ended up spending the majority of our time together in Chattanooga, and Rome, Ga. These folks were some of the kindest, most genuine, unselfish, and funny people that I've ever met, and I miss them already!

I was heart broken by the loss, but the whole "National Championship Experience" noticeable diluted much of my disappointment.

I STRONGLY suggest that if you get the chance to go to one of these...DO IT!!!

Amen. I hate I missed this year, but the past three have been great times. I mean great times!
