Methinks GSU counting Eaglets before they hatch!
Well, GSU fans are starting to get bck to their old selves again...they think they are a lot better than they were the the last time they played us, so therefore we have no chance and they will beat us by at least 2 TDs. Well, I agree with part of that- GSU is better now than they were then. But they must not have any logic courses at GSU (either that or they sleep through them there
), because that argument fails to take improvement by Wofford into account. The Terriers haven't remained static while GSU has improved- BOTH TEAMS have improved.
I therefore expect to see yet another close game between two fine football teams and I will not predict a winner- it's too close to call. But for some reason, it seems to me that GSU REALLY HATES to lose to us moreso than anyone else. Maybe I'm all wrong on this, but I still don't think GSU wants to accept that little old private, academically-oriented Wofford can play with them and beat them. Oh well, life can be a bitch at times!

Oh no. Players and fans think their team will win. The horror.

It's just wishful thinking on the part of the GSU faithful.
After all, there's no way a team playing 27 FR & SO (with only 3 SR's) on the two deep, with a new rookie coach, new offense, new defense, new transfer QB who wasn't even recruited by GSU out of HS, traveling for the 5th week in a row, playing for the 10th week in a row, and with no offensive players on the all conference first team could begin to even think they could compete with the mighty Wofford juggarnaut.
The runts and kids at GSU should be honored to even be able to say they stepped on the same field as mighty Wofford. I'm sure they'll be able to tell their grandchildren 40 years from now how they- along with the tens of thousands of Wofford fans sure to be in attendance- were witness to such greatness. Oh the stories!!!
I'm just sorry I have a previous commitment and can't make the trip to be a witness myself, and maybe- just maybe- be able to extract a piece of the turf, a discarded sweatband, or maybe a broken chinstrap as a souvenir, which I would then cherish and display as much as either of my national title rings.
Alas, what could have been...

I haven't seen any non-smack posts from GSU fans that have stated that we will win by "at least" 2 TD's.
With that said, we'll see how much Wofford has improved since the Terriers have failed to break 17 points in 3 of it's last 4 games. I like our chances.

Wouldn't be shocked if they saw the Wofford/Appy St tape and got emboldned after watching that.

Well, I think Wofford will win a close game. Opinions are like butts, everybody has one. And if I'm wrong, well, we still finished as one of the 8 best teams in FCS, which is more than most teams can say, and we still have an NCAA bid to chase in basketball for excitement, so life will go on. Good luck to both teams, but more to the Terriers.

The sandbagging wore out last week. GSU is good....period. I think they prevail this week.blueballs wrote:It's just wishful thinking on the part of the GSU faithful.

I do think GSU fans are getting overconfident here. No question this is a different team than we were in October, but we were very lucky to have only lost the last one by two. Wofford's defense won't be like deer in the headlights against our offense like W&M's was, and their DL did a much better job as well.
