out of curiosity, how does Wofford have the number one defense in conference but only get 2 players named Al-conference defense?

Ok, youngterrier. You bitched all day yesterday about the coaches all conference... now you can bitch today about the media all conference.
How about you just fill out your own all conference team, post it, and quit your bitching.

I was just making a point, not bitching, and the only ones who seem to disagree with me and classify as "bitching"are App fansSkjellyfetti wrote:Ok, youngterrier. You bitched all day yesterday about the coaches all conference... now you can bitch today about the media all conference.

for defense, had Niam played the whole year he would have been on the list, Wylie probably deserves some credit too, and Eberhardt(sp?) as well
but then again what do I know? Jerry Moore is God, Armanti is Jesus, and the Rock is Heaven

What about the SoCon coaches? They obviously disagree with you.

i'd love to see who voted for who for the coaches it could have been easily a tally of 4-3-2. as for the media, there has been a bias for app since michigan and you'd be a fool not to have noticed it

nice rebuttal, you represent your education very well as usual
Re: SoCon Media Awards Announced
has to be a bias for app. can't have anything to do with actually having a good team and players...youngterrier wrote:i'd love to see who voted for who for the coaches it could have been easily a tally of 4-3-2. as for the media, there has been a bias for app since michigan and you'd be a fool not to have noticed it

Easy YT - you're painting with a pretty broad brush.....youngterrier wrote:nice rebuttal, you represent your education very well as usual
Could be that your D plays much more cohesively without a bunch of stars. I certainly don't think the coaches are in Apps' back pocket, maybe the media is to some extent. We have a large rabid fanbase that the Terrier's don't enjoy due to the enrollment, so forgive the hubris from time to time.

Re: SoCon Media Awards Announced
it wasn't a broad jab G8. mostly a jab a skelly for being unintelligent (in other words it was sarcasm because he seems to be not the fastest runner in the race).

I'm feeling generous for the App-faithful, so I will ask....why isn't Quick 1st team? that's a shaft as well I think

Congrats to Torez Jones!
Re: SoCon Media Awards Announced
This right here...:
First Team Offense
OL Daniel Kilgore, Sr., Appalachian State
OL Brett Irvin, Sr., Appalachian State
OL Pat Mills, Sr., Appalachian State
...is why App State is good. Say what you want about the skill players, without a good o-line the skill players can't make their plays. A good o-line can made bad players good, and good players great. However, a bad o-line can make great players average and average players bad

Because GSU has the #1 defense in the Socon. We should have had more guys on the list as well. Derek Heyden for one.youngterrier wrote:out of curiosity, how does Wofford have the number one defense in conference but only get 2 players named Al-conference defense?

Re: SoCon Media Awards Announced
Correct. When I saw Pressley in person I was pretty impressed with his talent. He has a cannon, is accurate, and can run. BUT, and this is a big BUT, he is a different player under pressure- nowhere in Edwards class when harassed- so therefore his o-line is the key to his success.clenz wrote:This right here...:

Re: SoCon Media Awards Announced
I agree with this. App is 4th in the nation for sacks allowed... only 7 all year. That's impressive for a team that runs the ball often with their QB. Georgia Southern was the first team that blitzed DP all day. I think y'all blitzed over 80% of the time. He hadn't faced that kind of pressure before and didn't respond very well. Florida did the same thing to him and he handled it much better, imo. Not saying he's in Edwards' class... but, I think the Georgia Southern performance from this year will be one of the worst of his career.blueballs wrote:Correct. Now, why don't you put up points per game given up. Points wins over yardage.youngterrier wrote:TOTAL DEFENSE G Rush Pass Plays Yards Avg/P TD Avg/Geagleskins wrote:
