Online Radio: http://www.espnnorthwest.com/patchin-wingmen/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Series Record: 14-14
Last Meeting: Weber won 31-13 in Cheney in 2009
Eastern enters this week's game 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the Big Sky, falling to 16th in The Sports Network/Fathead.com top 25 NCAA Football Championship Subdivision poll. Following the victory over Montana, Eastern moved up nine spots to ninth for its highest ranking since finishing the 2007 season ranked eighth. Montana State moved from 17th to 10th and Montana improved two spots to 12th.
Weber State is also 2-2 and 1-1 in the league, and is coming off a 20-9 non-league victory over UC Davis. The Wildcats were ranked 19th in The Sports Network preseason poll, but dropped out of the rankings after a 24-17 loss at Sacramento State on Sept. 18. They received enough votes this week to rank 33rd, just behind Northern Arizona at 28th.
The Wildcats feature one of the league's top quarterbacks in 2008 Big Sky Offensive MVP Cameron Higgins, who has completed 66-of-122 passes for 785 yards, four touchdowns and six interceptions in three previous meetings against EWU. He was 21-of-36 for 235 yards and two scores in engineering last year's Weber State 31-13 romp in Cheney when Eagle J.C. Sherritt set a school and Big Sky record with 24 tackles.
But Higgins was on the losing end when Eastern beat the Wildcats in Ogden 33-26 during his MVP season in 2008, as well as 38-16 in Cheney in 2007. He had 312 yards and four interceptions in 2008 when the Eagles ended their season with a victory over Weber State, which opened the door for Montana to share the Big Sky title -- it's 11th of a current streak of 12-straight titles -- with the Wildcats.

Re: #16 EWU @ Weber State
Looking at the conference stats both teams are very similar - so the nod goes to Weber and home field advantage. The wild cards would seeem to be Weber's ability to hold onto the ball, BLM ending his streak of 3 consecutive games with a pick six, EWU's red zone efficiency, and TJ's health. Should be a shoot out.
BTW, the game is carried live on comcast channel 179 in Spokane.

As a WSU fan this sucks!! I was really looking forward to seeing TJ play at 100%. I like watching great players play, and TJ is a great player. If he does play against WSU, I hope he doesn't get hurt worse than he already is. Should be a fun game.EWURanger wrote:TJ will play, sparingly.

Re: #16 EWU @ Weber State
I got a feeling this will be an ugly affair, with the ultimate winner doing so by making one less error than the other. Could be some pent up feelings left over from my nearly 6 hour ordeal watching UNC/Weber slop around in the dark, but that's the take I have on this showdown.
Re: #16 EWU @ Weber State
I really hope not!! I hope its a real good game to watch, and not some mistake filled, penalty riddled game. That UNC-Weber game was enough pigs rolling around in their own crap for one season thanks.Wedgebuster wrote:I got a feeling this will be an ugly affair, with the ultimate winner doing so by making one less error than the other. Listening to big sky feed right now (no video up yet), and TJ is suited up and warming up, but looking real sore and uneasy out there. Might just be putting on a show for Weber's coaches, but not play at all. I kind of hope he doesn't play, there's no need to risk the rest of his season.

The game was going to be on Comcast-Portland. Now, they are talking about showing a replay of last night's Blazer Fan Fest.

Re: #16 EWU @ Weber State
I can't get the espn northwest audio feed to work. Anyone gotta link to weber's link?

Re: #16 EWU @ Weber State
I doubt TJ will be a factor(other than not playing) as he probably won't play much if at all. If our QB has his breakout game will be in this one...if not, long day.
Re: #16 EWU @ Weber State
Weber to get the ball first. Kick into the end zone, touch back.
Higgins to hand off, gain of 5 by Bolen.
2nd and 5 out of the shotgun, pass of 19, first down.
Run by Higgins to mid-field.
Where's the D?
