So losing to the Citadel and North Greenville (excludes loses to WFU and Clemson), and no wins, is more impressive then GW's win over 1-A Akron. Bullshit.

It's a computer dude. It doesn't make sense all the time, but overall I think these computer rankings more accurately reflect where teams should be ranked as compared to the bias of human polls.

Sagarin ratings are still bayesian (preseason rating still having effect) as the teams are not well-connected yet. Maybe next week.

How big is your game at JMU going to be next week!? Can't wait to watch that one on CSNE! It could end up being the game of the year.

I am with you all the way brotha!!! I would be willing to put some money on the prospect that this will not be the only meeting of these two teams this year. CAA all the Way!!!!

I'd be willing to wager heavily that this will be the one and only meeting.

Portland State #32. Gotta luv Sagarin.

If I had Portland State at #32, I'd be run out of here as the biggest homer ever. :D

Is that why you have them at #33? :thumb:

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Not sure man. As soon as Mike Paulus came into the game in the 4th against Maine, a spark lit up that the CAA should hope doesn't turn into a fire. I think in that one quarter, W&M found their answer.

I thought the field was expanded so we could get a sixth CAA team in the field, no? W&M, UR, and UNH are fighting for the last two CAA slots. :D

Yep. The way things are now, JMU could go 5-3 in conference and still be a lock for the playoffs. That could conceivably have them at 5th (or maybe 6th in the conference). I don't think there's any way that the Top 4 in the conference don't get in.

While I hope we go 8-0 in conference, it could work out well for the conference as a whole.

4 of 12 last yr.
4 of 10 this yr.

5 out of 10 would be the same as 6 out of 12. No league has ever gotten in half their teams, not even the CAA. Last year we had people the 3rd week of Oct talking about the CAA getting 5-6 teams in. It ended up being 4. Like last yr when 2 teams finished 5-6 and 2 finished 6-5, your going to have several teams finish 5-6/6-5. Even 7 div I wins out of the CAA isn't guaranteed. Come Nov 21 their will be 4 CAA teams in....

See my above post.

So are you saying that an 8-3 (5-3) with wins over (what we hope) is a high level FBS/BCS and what might be the winner of the Big South gets left out of the playoffs? Or are you saying that they will bump a team that finishes higher than them out?
