It's really tough to get the first poll done, but I refused to look at any other poll and simply looked at who played who, and how well they did.
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
A good DI win and two games against unbalanced competition is still a better resume than most teams below Sac State. This week will tell us a lot as to whether or not the Hornets deserve to stay.
I get you hitting W&M hard for edging out ODU (assuming that's why they are not ranked I dropped them to 17 - out of top 25 seems overly harsh though since they lost @ your #3 by less than a TD and crushed VMI) but surprised you then put Jax St. at 8 despite beating Ga. St. in OT.

You must have thought Liberty's win over Ball St was better than NDSU's win over Kansas and Liberty's loss to Robert Morris was better than NDSU's loss to #11 UNI, or maybe the win over St Francis was better than NDSU's win over Morgan St.
I won't post mine this week as there was a glarring error that i didn't get to Tman intime to fix. However, I will in the coming week.
I had a couple teams in the 2-25 spots that didn't make the to 25, and in hindsight after looking at the numbers again I probably should have switched a couple teams but I'll have that every week

NDSU was honestly just an oversight. This is why I like to post my poll, points out things I missed.

Once again, just an oversight. I wouldn't have had them that high, probably about 17-20 like you did, but I should have included them.

It's not a huge oversight as NDSU is around 18 in most polls, no problemo.
Still, both William and Mary and NDSU deserve to be in ahead of a team like Alabama State. It's good info to have going forward to see who I looked over. Like I said, I tried to not look at any other polls at all, just at records and game recaps.

I also think I probably have ISU(red) a bit too high, but not too bad.
ToTheLeft wrote:ALSO...
I probably have Texas State a bit too high, too. Something I'll have to look at based on what they do this week.

No offense TTL, but maybe you shouldn't be voting.
Sure he should. He admits he made a mistake and is looking for some help in pointing out what he got wrong or missed to do a better job next time. He's exactly the kind of guy I want voting. Make the mistakes early when none of know for sure and have it cleaned up for next week.

Same here. Glaring error.
About 25 of 'em.

I only have one big error, I hit the scroll button before I got out of the vote box...that caused my vote for Montana State to go for Monmoth.
Other than that I just have some iffy teams 20-25 that I'm not sure I could defend "well" against the teams i have 26-35
Here's mine. I won't answer any questions about it. If you think I have your school too high, you need to get some self esteem. If you think I have your school too low, reality's a bitch, ain't it? If you don't like it, blow me.
I'm glad to see you put Bryant in there . I unfortunately did not have my poll emailed to me so I do not remember it exactly. One omission I made was Illinois St. I guess next week they will bump out my unliked Alabama State pick.

No losses yet and an okay win was enough to sneak into the bottom of the poll, because I forgot about W and M and NDSU and just couldn't think of anyone else to put in the poll.

Might leave others out next week. I'd rather have the kind of guy that double checks his ballot before submitting.
We were talking last week about whether or not it is a good idea to use your previous week's ballot when making the current week. This is 100% why you should.

I'm going to use my poll and build from it. However, i do have a team (I believe I had them 22 or 23) that upon further review I don't think I'll put in next week win or loose. It made sense at the time, but I can't convince myself it was the right call anymore...I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not.

Sure Hen people don't make a mistake and then try to make sure they are more careful with it next time.
I don't think you understood what was being said about not using your previous poll. I'm talking about not just shuffling a few spots due to wins and L's but completely re looking at it as if the next week were your first poll.
You made a mistake there, learn from it and I'll be happy to reply to you in the future when you get your game sorted out.
